Yep.. I dont know the backstory because I bought it this way.. I got this rig for $600 because of the damage.. there was about 5 wires coming out of the fuse block that needed attention aswell.. I've replaced the carpet/seats.. I'll be doing all the Plastics too.. but 95% of the smell is gone..

I do rememeber my last ZJ (5.9) Having a burning smell if the heater stayed on "High" for too long.. Glad I always had the sense to turn the fan down:eyes:

That was the Fukishima of all resistor blocks!
Cant believe that didn't completely burn the whole jeep down.
How many hours would you say you have into the swap thus far?

Got the call Thursday that my trailer was built.. Finally got some time to drive up to top notch trailers in Rochester Washington..

20' 10k tilt trailer.. Very stoked to try it out!:patriot:

they are cheap Bias ply.. I hope to get a year out of them and I will upgrade to a good rated Radial..

I plan to add a HF Hydraulic ram to the front.. There is a 2" Receiver welded on top, I have a Multi-mount I plan to buy a Cheapo Chinese winch (Or used warn) to toss up there..

Rugar81: tad under $4k.. Other then the "Paint department" I have no complaints... (They could use some quality control on Overspray)

Edit: My favorite part.. I weighed it.. it weighs 2350#.. not bad, Considering my 12' ugly Yellow duckling trailer weighed 2200#

My friend has a trail just like that. Every time I would borrow it I would check the wheel bearings and they where always loose. Finally I pulled the hubs and checked the wheel bearing races and none of them were seated in all the way. I would recommend checking them. Loosing a wheel bearing will make for a crappy day.

That's a good deal. Did you look at the 18' car hauler? Why did you decide on the tilt deck 10k

Already have a 18' car hauler to use (Redjeep2.0s) I wanted to Upgrade my Low-boy trailer that is mostly used for cars, Without needing ramps.. So Tilt-deck was the answer.. Base price for the trailer was like $3300.. But I added a few things..
