That looks better just make sure you preload it with 25 thousands to help gear deflection should take a good pounding with a dead blow to get it in the housing
Make sure you add some carrier preload too, last time I did gears the recommended amount was 12 or 15 thou per carrier bearing after final pattern, iirc.
Pinion preload is set with the pinion seal and carrier not installed yet, also. I've seen people confuse that one.

You guys know they make a tool to tell you pre load in inch pounds right?
Way better then setting it up and shoving an extra shim in.
That is old school ! Removable winch , Extended frame and Bumper ends . White letter tires .
