Just about outta sheet metal. so i guess the fenders are done. Just waiting for the trim i ordered to arrive. gonna do rear tow hooks instead of trying to tie in the bumper (safer and less fab work). don't know about you guys but i'm pumped. countin' down the days

Nice, If it gets in the way cut it off! Ha Ha. J/K Mojo, looks good.

See ya at NW fest.

James.

Got my buddy at work doing some stuff for me tomorrow. My morning job cancelled so I had an opening. ;) Hurt my wrist using it as a hammer, so I can't fawkin' wrench at the moment. Need to be ready for next week!

LCA's getting swapped, front driveline needs a new ujoint at the axle end, need to install skidplate, and need a few things retorqued. Building a shelf for the back this weekend (copying Michael's). Checking fluids and typical maint. junk.

Going across the top of the cargo area, over the spare tire. Gives me someplace to tie my light stuff down. :)
PSH!! We know better! Give you a place to hide your Beer and Guns! :laugh3:

Lets see. I got the transfer case all back together and working. The trans skid is back on. The rear bumper is done (at least most of it, it still needs a couple of holes drilled with quick disco's for air) and mounted properly, gas tank skid is back on. Those of you who have wheeled with me without a rear bumper for what, almost 3 years now, will never believe it. I pulled the line off for my OBA and I am hoping to get a new one made up before the event. I also should make new rear mud flaps (gave mine to the guy who bought Scott's jeep for the drive down to Cali). Other than that, I "might" change the oil and put in new engine mounts at the same time (custom made ones). Not sure yet. I also want to get two new tires for the motorhome.

Phil, not sure how your doing your shelf, but If I was to re-do mine I would run a support all the way across the back section of the shelf just for added structure, I would also use wing nuts and bolts to put it together so it was a little easier to remove quickly. Just some thoughts. Let me know if you want more details.

I am ready, almost:)

Haven't we all.

:D:D

Both diffs torn down, ready for the gears, on Friday night, Saturday morning. Have to tie in front bumper better. Rear leaf packs halfway done. Fender trimmage done. Front springs in. Gathering spares(DS's and axles). Looking for quick TC skid idea. Have to mount spare somewhere. Looks like a busy weekend for me. Possibly half doors when all else is done. Phewww....More as I go along.

I hate to say but I'm:

No you are not done.

What you mean is you have given up on getting the rear bumper done for NW Fest because you know your priorities need to shift from the jeep to taking care of your wife and her needs!! :)

BTW, you are doing the right thing. And, I can not wait to see the rear bumper. The tire carrier will be the envey of every XJ owner in the country.

Michael

Mike you misread the title of the thread. It doesn't say ("Is your Jeep done yet?"

I am DONE prepping for NWfest.

And I don't know about "envy of every jeeper" but I like it and that is all that counts:) And I am also looking for input of my rear.
