So did I read it right, I have a AX-15 mated with the 231 and a stock front DS won't work for me?

It will work but you might need a longer shaft for the rear, we did a mega short SYE on a AX15 231 and needed a 39" shaft made. I don't know the difference from the mega short vs our kit at the moment I would have to go measure.
