ok a couple things ive learned with my little welder:
Go slow and watch the puddle for changes in size uniform size means good penitration and a better weld
prep the metal as well as you can
and weld in smaller beads for the best result
Ive made a few things that im fairly proud of most of all my oil pan skid but I used materials I knew my welder would work best with and made sure it was clean clean clean before I ran even the spot welds to tack it together. If you doubt its ability to make the bumper you want then it wont do it. if you feel it can and you do everything you can to make it the best you can(within its limits) you will have something you can be proud of.
