It may seem a long way off but it will be here before you know it! It's almost time for November to Remember III !! I know some of you folks have been on the run in the past and I'm hoping that more of you will join in this year.

Old Chinamans Gulch is the place with a start time of 10 am.
Last year there were nearly 40 rigs and we had a blast. With that in mind there are a few basic requirements for the run:
1. Patience!! It's always a long day on this run!
2. Tow/recovery points
3. Spare parts. Bring what you need to fix your rig.
4. Food and the proper clothing. It's Colorado...in November...in the mountains. 'Nuff said.
5. Bring your comm. gear! CB, FRS Radio, cell phone, soup can and string.

A couple of Do Not's:
1. Booze. None allowed....period.
2. Stock rigs. You don't want to be that guy that has to be drug all over this trail.

I'll draw names out of a hat to determine everyones place in line, it's really the only fair way to do it.

Bring your family, friends, significant other or whom ever you like!

Sounds interesting!!

This might actually be worth the super long day on the trail. Maybe I won't take my Jeep apart just yet.

wow seems like not being locked would make that trail EXTREMELY difficult!!!

with smart driving and a decent set up could an unlocked vehicle get thro rather UNscaved?

ok cool cool....im trying to get some upgrading done but like everyone else im budgeted.....
i want to make as many runs with you guys as i can to learn as much as i can but dont want to be the guy drug around

I'm going to try and make this, I just orderd me a tera low kit for my NP231 so that'll make life a lot easier for me. Hopefully I can get some uni-frame stiffners and rocker guards by then too. This'll be a good finale to my SA & 32's wheeling. Next season I'll be LA and 35's.

I was just over Chinamans the end of July and it is rough! If you are stock you will get drug over the trail!! You can do it with a mild lift open diffs and 33's but it will take a little work. Good trail with lots to do! I may join you fellas for this one.

Gearing is half the battle!! The other half is seeing the right line and driving it correctly!!

Well despite what people might think with my full throttle escapades I am fairly good at finding a line. I've just never owned a rig capable of going the finese route. Started wheeling a 2wd S-10 w/ welded rear and went on to Zuki's. One Zuki was stock then the second had a 2" lift, but no other mods. Now I've got something on decent tires and lift, with a welded rear to boot, but no gearing. I normally don't need to be as rough and tumble on a trail as I was on Eagle Rock, but thats because I haven't taken on quite that hard a trail before either. I went up Boulder Carnage 2 weekends ago and didn't have nearly the problems I had on Eagle Rock, I just stalled a lot trying to creep up the rocks. Eagle Rock seemed determined to ruin my record for never breaking anything of importance on a trail. Still, despite the loss of a mirror my record still stands and I've been wheeling since before I got my license.

Now I'll finally have a rig capable of that nice smooth wheeling, I'll have to relearn how to drive. Luckily I know I'll have some good spotters around me on this trip.

Yeah, Saran Wrap removed my CB antenna for me at no charge, but it's a fun trail. I had to get the cable the first time I went to ER, this last time I took a different line up the big hill and had no problems!! I have a lot to fix, but I'm gonna see if I can get the big stuff done in time to go along on this one.

I'm a definate maybe -- 20+ rigs could make for a LOOONNNNNG run...:dunno:

I'm thinking I should get a sye too while I've got my t-case apart, i'm at 6" in the rear and no sye

dutch, I have a 231 in my garage with a Tom Woods SYE on it. It has a loose chain and some runout on the output shaft, but the SYE is fine. You can have the SYE for $100 if you're interested (catch is you have to take the whole case!):shhh:
