Notes on Taurus fan intall...

91-95 Tauruses, Cobras and several other models.

Will a SHO Taurus work? I think its a 90 or 91 im not to sure what year it is. I can get it for free. I just want to make sure it will work.

I believe the 89-91 3.0L DOHC SHO's used a smaller single speed fan. I know for a fact that they did not use the same 2 Speed fan that the 3.8L's used.

I did the same install 4-5 months ago, no regrets yet. I can stay cool at idle with ease on low setting. I did not take the same time to give myself extra room for fitting but I have pics on my writeup. Pretty tight tolerances for now but lots of wheeling with no problems. Had a buddy evacuate my old a/c and refill with the new stuff after a pressure test so it blows cold but I have a badly cracked header and I think that is contributing to my being unable to keep the engine at normal op. temp. when a/c is on, even with the fan on low. Oh well I prefer windows anyway, get the manifold fixed and see what happens. Be careful of small children walking in front of the jeep when fan is on high, lost 2 kids that way, she sucks huge.
