I am leaving tomorrow for Fort Drum to deploy with 10th Mountain to Iraq. I don't leave for a another couple of weeks but I don't know how much internet access I will have at Fort Drum.

I hope to see all of you on the high ground in about 12 months but I will send some picutres and hopefully have a submission for the rig of the month :laugh3: .

Rogue, all i can say is to bring gatorade mix (koolaid or anything else too), stuff to entertain yourself with (laptop with dvd or whatnot) and if you are gonna be here during winter to make sure you pack snivel gear, because believe it or not it does get cold and MUDDY AS CAN BE. Maybe we'll pass each other on the way, you headin north, and hopefully me heading south to Kuwait so I can come home! What unit at drum you with? I'm with 1AD out of Germany.

Good luck and Godspeed to you and your brothers. Keep safe and hurry home so we can wheel URE together!

Couple of my buddies are there right now. If you ever run in to Lt. Furnia or SGM Edgar, then say hello from Ferguson.

Thanks to you, and all the other Veterans here. Y'all are like no other.

Hoo-ah!

Chris, damn man, that was sudden :( anyway we'll be checkin you out on the flip-flop.

We'll keep Uwharrie nice & muddy for ya!

Shoot Straight & Ride Hard Sir, Airborne!

Keep your head down and on a swivel. According to most of the guys I know over there, the reports are overexaggerated by the American press, but all it takes is one stray round to mess up your day.

Report back when you return, and stay in touch while there if you can.

Take care of yourself and your buddies, bro. We already know you're taking care of us. C'mon back to us, we'll keep the trails warm until you do.

All the best!

Dang, you'll probably be busy with deployment stuff, but there's a trail ride about 30 mins from Fort Drum in Matrinsburg NY on June 12th.

Shoot me a PM if you get this and can get out......plenty of open seats in friends' rigs.

God speed.
