Told ya!! LOL. I went through this crap with Stant stats on 3 Jeeps.

You are the only one on this thread that had bad Stant tstat(s). O.P.s was some other failsafe crap.

Well, on Cherokee Forum and Jeep Forum, along with Comanche Club, there have been many instances of failed Stant stats.

You may be right about many failed Stants, but there are many tsats of many manufacturers out there. Working in the auto industry in Detroit for too many decades with a stint in powertrain cooling, I know that the OEMs buy parts anywhere from the cheapest supplier. Specifically, Chrysler tsats come from India, at least when I was involved 3 years ago. I'd rather take my chance on a Stant. No point in the extra dealer markup at OEM.

knowing Jerry and his former posts concenring fram, I disagree. he really hated them. and would have been very happy to dis them more after his newfound knowledge.

Read the article by Jerry, most of the claims against Fram are either ignorance (such as metal vs fiber caps- fiber being better) or 5+ years old (claims they don't deny). This is a good American company and their ToughGuard filters are at 99% filtration (most "premiums" are at around 95) for a more reasonable price than the premium filters their competitors are selling.
