For those of us that just dealt with the ice storm last Thursday check in! Let us know your status!
We're all good. We went to a friends house near OKC to stay warm. Stayed in the cold house till last night. Still no power in Altus maybe Tuesday!

Wish we could get an ice storm in Dallas lol

Ouch, That sucks. I'm scared to death my house and garage will burn down around the Jeep when the power comes back.

My girlfriend did get hurt, though thankfully not too badly. She had to get transported via ambulance to the hospital. She got some decent cuts on her face and neck from the glass. It was more precautionary than anything else.

I am in Marlow. We haven't had electricity since Thursday night. My wife and kids are up in Bridgecreek with the in-laws where elcetricity is fine. We actually weathered the storm quite well until water pressure slowed then it was time to run up north. We are avid campers so we had just about everything we needed for at least 4 or 5 days until laundry started running low. XJ is fine, parked away from trees. Bad news is I am about to do a bunch of new parts and half of them are being slowed by UPS!

Yeah we had to get out too. The base was officially evacuated today. Looks like no power till at least this weekend.

Not off of a bridge but off of another car going the opposite direction. They had my girlfriend and I on the news so I wouldn't be supprised if it made it down to wichita falls.

My sister called me today and told me it even made it onto CNN.

I'm famous :)

They are pushing back the day when we will have power in Marlow. First they said Friday, then Sunday or Monday. Problem is once we get power to town, they have to cut branches and clear lines in town.
At least my house and family are ok and I get to play with a chain saw. That makes everything better!

Power is back on at the house and the office got power back finally but the heat is still off. My office is really nice and cold. Drinkin lots of coffee now. At least the sun is back out. There are some areas that are still without power on base so this is going to be interesting.

Finally got power today! Well, we did have generators at the substation that cut in and out for the past 24 hours, but the poles are in the ground now and we are hot from Lake Humphreys. Nice to be off a generator (borrowed one from a friend and only used it for about a day and a half) and to have constant heat. Taking a long time for the office to heat up though. Always something to complain about!:rattle:

we made it! live NE of altus. we were w/o power for 10 days. had the generator and kerosene heater running 24/7. no real damage, just shredded most of our trees. still doing cleanup. now back to working on the xj...
