Buddy has a house in Bullhead, and when he bought the house there was no cell coverage, so he bought 2 of these. Used one of them once and then they upgraded the towers, so now he doesn't need them. 1 used once, the other never used. I'm not exactly sure on how all this works, but I think you need to buy a contract with the sat phone service provider. If I understand it right, you can turn the phones on for the duration of your trip, then turn them off so they don't charge you anything.
