non XJ - 1995 F250 460 4x4

Selling my F250. Transmission is acting up and i really dont have time or the want to deal with it. any and all trades considered

Its a 95 long bed, extended cab 4x4 w/460 and E4OD transmission. D70 rear, d44 front. 33x12's with lots of tread. motor runs great. all power stuff works great. stereo works, etc. the body is in great shape. The interior as well.

So what exactly is the transmission doing/not doing?

It won't go into drive. i was hauling the XJ up to big bear, stopped at a light in hemet, put it in park for a sec (heard noise coming from the trailer), put it back into drive and that was it. Reverse still works fine though. I dunno. I really just don't have time to fiddle with it right now.

the motor is great though. transfer case is solid, etc.

I have an E4OD for this with around 20K on it. Crate tranny from Ford I got from a guy who swapped to 4WD. The bellhousing is a windsor pattern though, you'll need to swap bell housings for the 460.

This is a 4wd was the other guys a 2wd?

This is a 4wd. i'm not sure if they're swapable. i believe they are though aside from the bell that he mentioned. how much for the trans?

Ahhhhh, doing some searching and you're right, I didn't even notice this was 4wd, they won't swap over. You'd have to swap all the guts over, which is doable but quite a bit more work.
