hey whats up guys i just got an 86 bmw e3o with a stroker engine and the horn doesnt work. i was thinking a train horn would be too much work and i'd most likely go deaf myself. are the hella 118db horns too loud for a car? it would mostly be used for people driving under the speed limit and for those that want to use their horn when it shouldnt be used. also which horn would be best dual tone or single? thanks

I've been thinking about getting one too but have never seen/heard them in person...

Is there such a thing as "too loud"?
I run stebel nautilus horns on my motorcycles. I'll probably end up with one in the Jeep too.

How much. This would be great to put on the RV when some jackass pulls in front of you and goes slow.

Model # and pic would be great.

AIR HORNS..You could hear mine just about a mile a away..I got a ticket for using them at night after 11PM, i didn't know he was a cop..Thats the story and i'm sticking to it..:rtm:

There are LOTS of euro guys who run hella horns... hell a lot of EVERY type of car guy runs them. They're a great horn.

Yes there are a ton of euro guys, also a LARGE LARGE majority of off road racers run these as well. I have a set in the Bronco and love them (although they are high pitched, sound like an old VW beetle)
