Nominations for officers

This thread is for nominating officers for the midwest or what ever we call this chapter.

You must be a paid up member to nominate or to be nominated.

If your "check is in the mail" I s'pose that will be ok.

Lets keep posts on this thread strictly to nominations and declines!

Please submit persons name and office.

Should we actually vote for individuals to create an election board and establish guidelines for the nomination and voting of officers? After reading the bylaws concerning Election of Officers, there is really nothing that specifically covers this. So ... should we do this first? I think we should especially because we do not have current officers ... but what does everyone else think?

Some questions I have:

1) How do we handle nominations for members that have been nominated for multiple positions? Example: SeanR is nominated for President and Vice President. If these nominations become official with a "second", which position is he a candidate ... both of them?

2) Who is responsible for recording these Nomination Proceedings?

I'd like to see Jeeplas with the treasurer.

Sean ... Has Jeeplas applied for membership? If I interpret the By-Laws correctly, officers must be members of . Am I missing something? .... correct me if necessary. I'd be happy to add her to the list.

I sent in my dues and app. via pay pal on the 7th. They said it would take 6 days to process.
