No overdrive at times

I haven't seen where the OP can tell the difference between third or fourth gear, locked or unlocked TC, locked TC in third or unlocked in fourth, etc. One of the things I might recommend is driving at a steady rate, say on an Interstate, at an indicated 65 MPH (may be off due to larger tires), and, assuming stock 3.55 gears, the tach should be reading 2k at 65 MPH. The relationship between tach and speedo should remain constant, regardless of tire circumference. Gently giving more gas should not cause the tach to shoot up a few hundred RPM. If it does, and you've not given it enough gas to kick down, then it's probably the TC. The tranny may indeed not be shifting into fourth, but as far as I know, the TC should probably still be able to lock up in third. Adjusting the TV cable may slightly adjust shift points, will certainly affect shift feel-soft or harsh-but shouldn't matter once a steady state cruise is attained.

I made the determination that he is right, and is not going into fourth, based on the more recent data he posted. TC is only a 200 rpm difference, His RPMs are so high, he MUST still be in third gear (TC locked or unlocked). Examine the data he posted again.

It is not constant!!!! Vehicle speed is also a function of the tire radius.

I agree with the rest of your post, good info there!!
