No blower, radio, wipers, etc.

I have a 30 amp relayin my tool box, I'll give it a shot. Gonna go pick up a metal breaker tomorrow and put that in too. I have a plastic one, but based on what you said Mike, I'll skip putting that one in. Worst case, I have to step up to a 70 amp relay and larger resettable fuse.

Just went through this. The brown wire at the igniton switch has overheated and the connector will be melted. This is not something to be bypassed, but addressed by ignition switch replacement and repair of the brown wire where it attaches to the switch.

Believe it or not, the switch and connector are in good shape. I think I got lucky and stopped to check the problem before it got worse. I'm not going to bypass the wire, just use it to activate a relay in order to prevent a melt down that seems inevitable otherwise.

I ran a fresh 12ga wire off the switch (brown wire location) to under hood to use as a relay activator. Neatly installed a 30amp relay (used a 60amp relay socket for the 10ga pigtails) wired to battery, then ran a 10ga wire back to the brown wire to power it. I was able to run all the wires in the existing loom, other than the relay nothing looks out of place. That was 3 years ago and all is well, I drove for a day this hunting season, heat, radio, and blower running and it never missed a beat.

What I did is in this thread already. One key was bypassing the Ignition switch on the Column, behind the dash for the actual load, and putting in larger wire and a toggle switch (30 amp) for that brown wire. I relay might have been better for most folks,
