The family wants to go playing in the snow on the 1st. I have about 4 family's lined up for snow playing fun. We can all meet at the Prather gas station at 9am, leave there at 9:30.

The only requirement would be to have at least one good tow point.

Please bring warm clothing , good pairs of gloves and boots are highly recommended.

I'll try to dig up some pictures of last year, the snow was perfect for building snow people.

This one is Neil's favorite, :)

Sounds like fun, Chuck, but I'll be at Calico for that weekend. I do need a good snow run or two this winter, I've missed the snow the last two years due to long, winter Jeep projects.

Have fun,

Was this like the movie Fargo? (j/k)

Trying to see if I can get there looks like a blast, I have only seen alittle snow this year, and I am ready to get in some of the deep stuff

Hey Chuck, tell Niel that he deffinatly isn't the only to hit a hole like that. I know I did. Oh and not to hijack or anything. It looks as if I am coming home in March for GOOD. Maybe get your god planning skills together and lets try a spring run!

So what do you think the minimum requirements are for this? I won't have any kind of traction aiding device, but I do have a winch and my brother has a stock grand with the 249 (woohoo!). The Grand might be a *little* bit taller by then ( ;) ;) if ya know what I mean).

Well as I said before, I would like everyone to have at least 1 strong tow point. Weather conditons and the amount of snow will actually determine what some can do and what others can't. Last year, someone had already packed a good trail. and the snow was very sticky and I didn't have any trouble. The F150 I tried to pull out was a PITB, but that was a weight issue.

If you can't there are plenty of places we can pull off to the side and just play and have fun.

You can look at this run in two ways, either get together and play in the snow with your family or come and take on a killer snow run.

This explorer did fine, but he wasn't really messing aroud with it. Three things are very important, stay on the packed snow, go slow reduce your wheel spin, and tray to stay straight as posible.

I'll make sure we all have a snow buddy, if you have a CB or the FM radio is a plus to.

I would like to go, my wifes family always does stuff on New Years Day so I need to do some talking. By then I will have few more things done so I can test it out.

Count us in. I will bring Melinda and Caleb along too. I will see if I can get my friend with his cruiser to come along as well.

The 10 day forecast looks great! Please bring a set of chains, even though you have 4WD and snow tires, they may still require you to carry them.

SNOW IS TOO MUCH FUN!
Do you care if TJ's go?
I may have to bring my TJ as the XJ might not be ready by the frist.
If you just want an XJ run I totaly understand.

Anyone and everyone is welcome, as long as they have a good tow point and 4WD and good tires. If they want, some might be able topark and hike in. Last year we didn't really get to the trail head, we were mainly playing on the access road.

If conditions are right we might be able to get up to Bald. I really just looking forward to lots of soft snow to play in. Don't forget the Hot Chocolate! :D
