Alright, Boys 'n Gents:

I've been sitting on this for a year, or two....lost track....and, although I'll likely kick myself good later for lettin' it go, I'm going to.....

I had this made for my '99 XJ, with provision to clear the reg. plate lighting shroud. Thus, there is the requisite kick-out in the cross bar. Should work on a pre-97 XJ, I would think, but you'll need to check the measurements for yourself.

- Made from all 2x2 square-section stock.
- 5-gal US/NATO gas can carrier.
- 5x4.5 wheel bolt pattern (easily enough modded for larger)
- HD 1 1/16" spindle kit, with bearings, etc.
- Black powder-coat finish
- Camming latch mechanism, with receiver plate, etc.
- Length, from spindle-center to butt-end, is 58 3/4"
- 'Cut out' section is 50.5" long, and set-out is 1 5/8"
- Mount provision for reg. plate, and light is included

**Not sure, now, whether or not I do have the straps for the gas can carrier.
I'll look further and, if I do, they are included. If not, you can make some
up.

I s'pose I'll ship, if it becomes necessary, but would certainly prefer that you come over and pick her up...

$250. for the whole set-up.

Located in Foxboro, MA. I can usually accommodate a visit most anytime.

Well....I know I'm gonna start hearing about it, sitting in the front hall, and I don't want to lug it back down to the (finished) basement where it has been sitting safe and warm, sooo......

Let's make it $225.

You're killing me, I really want this but don't have the space in my budget :(

Not sure I want to impose such a conscience-challenging price on anyone, quite possibly leading to guilt-induced lost sleep and other emotional distresses, but....if you're game....

$180.

Really gettin' down into the 'STEAL-zone'....... $175.

Still sittin' in the hall, and the wife is on a 'civilized-look' push for the livin' quarters.....:)

Well.......I had lost the momentum on the rig a while back, and....had never placed the swing-away in position to check it out, until today. Kinda slick... I'm actually thinking that I should go ahead with the installation, so.......I'm gonna change my position to: Not actively available, but, open to offers up closer to my total cost, and....maybe then.

I had a few inquiries, asking how it mounts and if it can be used with a stock bumper. - No, definitely needs a custom/HD bumper which would provide both a suitable/suitably-HD mount platform, and something that can be welded to. Meanwhile, I'll post the photos I took sittin' in place, below:

Thanks for your inquiry..... Well, admittedly struggling between 'original intent'/a bit of renewed inspiration....and, the question of just when I might realistically get to do the planned swing-away install/hitch/skid pan comprehensive project. Thus, again, I guess it'll depend on the offer.

Alright...... shouldn't let it go, but / won't likely get to mount if for a while / hate to take it back downstairs to collect dust for who knows how much longer.....etc.

So...... someone come with $180. cashola.

No one can use it, Fall project, and for a good bit less than I have invested...??...!!

** I'll offer the buyer a deal on a clean NATO 5-litre gas can, nicely coated with Herculiner(except for the top few inches, left uncoated for a touch of red paint...).

I'd like this for my girlfriends jeep, but i don't know if the bumper sticks out far enough for this to mount to. Whats the measurement on yours from the edge of the tail light to the edge of the bumper?

** It MIGHT work, if the spindle was positioned at the back, or even in-the-plane of the back plate (i.e. a vertical cut-out for the spindle, and welded-in such that half of the spindle is outboard, half in...). Otherwise, it would be simple enough to weld extension plates onto the top surface, to bring it out a bit....

Please feel free to come and put it in place, and get a hands-on perspective.
