NEW to NAXJA

Welcome Amanda! :)

"Better" depends on how you plan to use your vehicle. My wife's station wagon spends 99% of it's life going to the grocery store. I go to the mountains for the other 1%. The changes fit the use...and my budget.

Lift it, toss on bigger tires, add lockers, swap to 1/2ton axles, get even bigger tires, roll it, remove most sheet metal, build cage, wheel it a few times, part it out, and then by a JK :D

Welcome to the forum.

Welcome Amanda!

Yeah if we all voiced up our individual opinions on tips for XJ improvement...... This would become one HUGE thread!

The best tip I can offer is to simply enter the search term of the topic you're interested in learning about and browse the numerous threads you're likely to find.

I'll also suggest you use Google and along with the search words enter "naxja" so it'll pull up threads and info from here...... Our search feature here isn't all that great.

Welcome!

The Colorado chapter is a pretty awesome group of people. The amount of information contained on this site is ridiculous. Lots to learn.

How big are you intending to go? Several of us have built very decent full bodied crawlers and there are a few on here that have gone the "Why didn't I start out with a tube chassis buggy route". Lots of good experience here no matter what direction you take.

If you want to be the ultimate hoarder of complete and incomplete vehicles Troy is your man for lessons. :D

Have you done much four wheeling? If not; it's always a good idea to wheel it stock to get some idea of what it can do as opposed to what you want it to do. Come along on the hackett gulch run next Saturday.

If its not a daily and strictly a wheeling rig remove that sway bar and leave it in a parking lot somewhere.

Welcome to NAXJA.

I can see Westminster over the top of my backyard fence. If you want help or just need someone to stand behind you and say "you think that's a good idea?" while drinking a beer, my weekends are mostly free.

Post pics of your ride.

Happy New Year!

Welcome Amanda. Big bunch if kooks here lol.
Where are you trying to go wheeling. My sisters rig is finally trailable and would love to wheel with some other gals

That one, single sentence, blows my budget all to hell. :D

The guys here will help you get the most bang for your buck.
