no, its 29 spline 8.25" witch is still a great axle. and for $3700 i would go for it!

ah, so people with 91-2001 mainly have 29spline?
also, just ran a carfax report, looks good and everything checks out except for one thing...

just tell em you want an x-tra 250 bucks taken off or tell them to include the parts you may need lol worth a shot......trust me ive done stuff like this to dealers and sometimes they dont even blink an eye at it

the CPS is common from what i hear, but not an issue if your prepared for it. most carry a spare on board ..... just in case.

good job....took me 2 months to find a xj i really liked for a price i could not refuse....i passed up a few all in all im a happy camper and wouldent trade my xj for the world

About 2 week here, think I landed a really good deal, especially in snowboard/ski season! Tomorrow Ill try to get some pictures up
You definitely have the right site for that. Spend some time browsing/searching through the tech sections, and read up on some info. The Jeep sounds like a solid platform, and will be a great daily driver.

Like Mojojojo said the CSP can be a problem, but thats on all of them not just that jeep or them years, mine went out but not hard to replace. I want to know where they are buying that $122 CSP I only paid $25 for the one I had to get and then got a spair just in case.
Good find and welcome to the forum. Good choice going for a stock one, the build up on them is more fun then getting one already done.

i did mine.. takes 30 min's in the XJ.. takes 8 hours in the 5.9 ZJ

i assume you are talking about the CKP sensor? good stuff, did you just go to the junkyard or what? I test drove it today, didnt see any issue, but i guess it happens on and off.
