Indeed, but with only the 27 spline if my tiny bit of jeep knowledge is correct? I should also note that even though I don't have abs mine might have a 35

get chris 8.25, slap on some 35s, and throw a lock right in there, or find some 29 spline shafts and get a 29 spline lunchbox. run 35s. enjoy your jeep like never before.

yeah, Ive seen a lot of people say that you can do that, I think it spreads because few people have actually gone through with it since its not really worth it.

For 96, could be either 27 or 29. Thankfully carrier break is way too low to matter for us, so a replacement carrier would not cost too much.

So just wanted to update you guys. I havent done anything to the Jeep since I moved for my new job after Sierrafest. But good news is, a friend of mine has been doing some body work and other small things to it for me, so maybe Ill be able to take it to this Sierrafest. Or I can quit my job so I actuallly have time to wrench on it....

Well, I had a great time at sierrafest. Especially running it in 2wd.
My current specs on the jeep:
Winch bumper, 8000 lumens of LEDs on the front bumper, 50inch single row Led bar with 24 10watt CREE leds. 29000 lumens or something ridiculous. Rubicon Express 5.5 coils and HD track bar system, RC Drop Brackets and adjustable arms. Rancho shocks. dana 30 with Wj brakes, Akebono calipers, slotted and drilled rotors, Ruffstuff cover, Yukon 4.88s, trussed, sleeved, knuckle gussets, control arm skids. Rear Dana 44 with Alloy USA axles, Yukon 4.88s, spooled, trussed, massive pinion skid. Shackle relocators with 2inch RC adjustable shackles. Rolling on 315/75R16 Goodyear Mtrs

Holy crap those pics are large. Haha. So I'm getting my Xj ready for King of the Hammers. I actually needed to finish a lot of stuff on the Jeep to make the trip. After this trip is SoCal fest, then Sierrafest.
So first things first I needed better steering then a ZJ tiered. I bought 7/8s heims from Ruffstuff. Always great service. Fast shipping. Thumbs up guys! I'll have the steering finished this week.
Next I ordered a fixed yoke kit from advanced adapters. It's been lost. Said it was delivered, but it never showed up. I'll get a new one by Friday and build the tcase over the weekend. I have a a Tom Woods ds that I'm going to rebuild and use with my sye.
I'm also making new mounts for my light bar. They will be very simple. Most likely similar to El Junky. Only issue is my light bar is a 50inch and makes the mounts hit on the curved portion of the roof.
So there is an update. Hope to have some pics for you guys soon. Looks like I need to learn how to resize my photos again. Photo bucket used to do it, now I can't figure out how too.
