New rig to me

Track bar is good. Previous owner didn't tighten the passenger side lower ball joint all the way, which in turn caused the wheel hub to seem shot. The pitman arm bushings needs to be replaced though. But it still has a slight wobble between 50-60mph but it's not a death wobble.

Tires outta balance? Is it an up and down wabble or left and right?

Left to Right. I am going to balance the tires tomorrow at work and will be getting one new tire as well. I love working at discount tire stuff is cheap.

Whats Wabble?

Whats Wabble?

Well, it could be:

the larva of a botfly, Cuterebra emasculator, that infests squirrels and other rodents, rendering the males sterile.

or it could be my trying to say "wobble" with my Detroit accent. ;)

It shouldn't be balance if left to right.

lol.

Then I am out of ideas other than the pitman arm bushing...

did you check the steering box and make sure the bolts are tight??

id do a long arm and go with like the full traction or RE or tnt and i personally like rockkrawlers alot. i dont have it but i have seen it in action = nice

The bolts that hold the steering box brace in place are loose. I am about to go do that.

I was also told my trackbar is shot but if i am going to get a completely new lift kit should i just replace it then?

Yeah tighten those bolts down... make sure to check for "frame" damage around the box. Having it loose on there is definately not good for the channel. If you are really going to upgrade lift kits then i would just replace it then. When you upgrade lift kits, what are you going to do with the lift that is on it?

sell it and the tires two of them are brand new

is there a steering box brace you would recommend? i have looked at the 4-bolt conversion from tnt? have also thought about hydro-assist?

i run the c-rok inner brace and made my own outer brace. for $45 total it works for me but im on 31s but i dont see why it would need to be stronger than that for me at least.

Went ahead and bought a new track bar from orileys, was surprised they had one in stock since it wasn't showing up in their computer.

Gonna take "cousin it" to autozone tomorrow to find out why the check engine light is one.

Replaced the trackbar and still have a noticable wobble at 50-55mph but past that and it's fine. I got the upper track bar mount as tight as I could since it's to tight of a space for an impact. I still need to locate the steering box bolts. I am lost on the wobble issue; I also have a popping in the front end on the drivers side...

While driving to work this moring my check engine light came on and the code is P0700: with that being said I was told and have seem that one transmission line is pinched a little but both lines that run in front the oil pan are leaking: could this be causing that code to appear?

The steering box bolts just run through the "frame" and into the box. They should be in the front driver's side wheel well. Just tighten them down. As far as that code, it does come back as "transmission control system". I am not sure what that means or if it could be caused by the pinched lines. I would check the fluid though, considering you know you have a leak, and possibly look into having those lines replaced. If they aren't causing a problem now, it doesn't mean they aren't putting unwanted strain on your trans.

So I think this is the lift, steering, and gears I am going to go with from Rusty's:

XJ Cherokee 6.5" Long Travel Kit
Arms: High_Clearance

Conversions - Over-the-Knuckle Steering
Steering Box Brace XJ
Rusty's Gear Special (D30/Chrysler 8.25 Combo)
Gears: 456
Dana 30 Low Ratio Carrier

What size tires are you planning on running? If 35's or smaller i would go less than 6.5 on the lift. I am running 4.5 on 35's.
