New machinery for Clayton Off Road!

[Clayton Off Road]

A few years back we picked up a robotic welding machine, but because of the limited amount of space in our old shop we never had a chance to get it setup. After moving a few months back we have been slowly getting ready to set it up and start using it.

Here is Clayton's design for how we want to set up the machine:

Starting to get it setup, we welded our table together and now we just need to run power and wire feed:

Nice! I used to build robotic fixtures for the 4 robotic welders at the company I last worked for.

Those things can be pretty impressive.

fancy pants. Fanuc controlled? big servos on that sucker, it can probably lift some decent weight (and crash the machine real hard in the case of a program error).

They are slick to have for production work.

Just be careful. They do have a mind of their own (sort of). The ones we had were so fast they could kill you if you were near them. But that's why we had laser trip sensors around each one.
