Been on jeepforum for a while, decided to join over here also.
A year and half ago I bought a 99 XJ with 148k on the Jeep. It is the tan or gold color depending on who you ask. Due to money issues, I don't have any recovery points, yet (if anyone has front or rear hooks they would like to give me, I won't not take them). I have played around in the quarry a few times when I first got my Jeep. I know Brendan from facebook (hey this is Adam). Been to Badlands three times riding in other Jeeps.
Some photos of my Jeep.
Street tires up front made the climb for me not do able (that and I probably didn't have enough skinny pedal due to first time off roading).
The day I brought it home.
As it sits now.
Tires are all Big O A/T's with a full size spare in back. Clear bumper and corner lights.
I also have some Sport Rack Kayak racks.
Now for some of my wheeling pictures that I took of other peoples Jeeps.
From the Toys for Tots 2010 run.
How often do you see the sand hills at Badlands with little to no quads?
From earlier this month
Don't how often I will get over here, but figured I would say hi.
As for future plans for my Jeep.
immediate future
*tow hooks (and or hitches), which ever I can find
*sway bar disconnects
*maybe a 3 inch lift (260 from rough country with add a leaf spring).
Long term plans
*front and rear bumpers (custom)
*bigger lift?
*31" inch tires
*winch ?
My goal is to have a nice DD with a mild lift and 31 inch tires. I am not going extreme until I have a second vehicle and can make my XJ my main off road toy. I believe I am going to be at Badlands on Saturday March the 5th with some friends. If I had tow hooks, I plan on taking the easy trails as riding in other Jeeps have made my urge to take mine on trails really bad.
BTW, I am from Terre Haute if you couldn't tell.
If this is in the wrong place, sorry.
