New guy from Vegas, my first XJ

Ryan, dont even bother with a 2.0 or a resi if your gonna get rid of it in less than 6 months. Go with a Bilstein, and call it good!

x2!! (again)

Grab some 5100's or 5150's if you get a good price and run with it. I would call Bilstein and ask what they recommend for 3" over stock suspension. They would be the best guess. I ran 10" 7100's with a RE5.5" and they fit great so maybe a 8"???

Remember, you will need either a shock with upper stud mount or the adapter to run the standard type shock but that will take away from up travel.

Why get rid of the XJ? More vehicles the better.
To the XJ being cheaper I have been pricing it out for new parts and its a little cheaper but not much cheaper in the big scheme of things. Broncos bigger needs bigger parts transmission, motor, axles and tires( I run 35's). Generally more expensive. Im also one to stretch a dollar when it comes to builds you guys from FSB know that.

The shocks actually change length wise manufacture to manufacture. The shaft length is close but the body length I let to I let is different. Also depends on how you mount the shocks.

OR... OR... get a smokin deal on 2.0s/2.5's, and hope the economy goes up, and re-sell them when your done with them. a non rebuildable shock is basically scrap after a year or so.

i run oem fox 2.0, 10" travel shocks f/r on an xj running the rc 3"...

as far as the rc 3", ive had a blast in the last 2 years w/ a rc 3" and good shocks.... its no jeepspeed, but it goes.

that being said, im mid way thru the purchases to go a little taller, as well as polishing out the lift.
2.5 bypasses, antirock, and hydraulic bumpstops are all in my future! the rc 3 leaves you wanting MOOOOARR!
