nice

looks like a deal for 400 bucks

what year is it? looks pretty new.

it looks like you have a roof vent in the middle, you can install a roof top ac into that vent you wont have to cut any holes in the camper. locally an rv dealer here in the fort sells the roof top ac for $550 plus tax, ready to install. for $50 bucks you can get the heat element that goes in it.

you'll also need to make sure that the electrical panel will support a 20 am circuit. the a/c will require 13.5 amps when the compressor kicks on. A 15 amp circuit will most likely hold but I have had mine spike and pop a 15 amp breaker.

mac 'the a/c is worth every penny!' gyvr

$400 is a deal man. I am putting the fridge in mine today. I had a portable AC unit already so I am going to use that for now, but may spring for a roof top unit in the future.

Its a 1994 unit. Yeah I have thought about the roof top, but I am not sure my generator can handle a roof top air unit. I have a window unit that I know it works with. Or might look at the portable air unit. But leaning towards taking the rear window out of the camper and trying to put the unit I already have in. Its small enough I shouldn't have to cut anything and if I do it right I could always put the window back.

if your genny can handle a window unit it likely can handle the roof top. Look and see what the maximum current pull for the window unit is, should be a data plate somewhere on it.

it's all the same stuff, just packaged differently. Looks like a pretty good score for $400.

how many watts is your generator? i've ran my roof top on a 5000 watt generator, has zero issues even with several fans from others in tents and two small refrigerators and an electric skillet all going at the same time.

looks nice for a 94, mine is an 89 and needed a few things, let me know how the fixed side affects your fuel economy.

i went with a roof top a/c cause it looks less hillbilly than an a/c sticking out the back...im not sure how i'm bothered by looking hillbilly...but anyways it works and i sleep in comfort...and i threw my tent away...lol

mac 'camping in it this weekend as a matter of fact' gyvr
