So the lift deal i had planed fell through, so i need some ideas to get me through untill i can afford a permanent fix.
I bought my new mtr's 285/75/16 my jeep sits on a 3 1/2 lift, i know i need like 5 1/2. I have 2 in coil spacers for the front but nothing for the back. I am also on a very tight budget untill the end of the month. I have done no trimming yet, ( im not even sure that byitesf is going to help). I have thought of blocks untill i can get new rear leafs but I have heard bad things about doing that. Any ideas are very welcome.

I would see nothing wrong with throwing some 1" steel blocks in there to get you to work and back. I ran 3/4" steel blocks for probably a year or two. Sorry, don't have them any more.

I'm running 255/75/17's (32.1 in.) with a 3" lift and fender trimming with plenty of room... a little rub on the front inner fender seam at full flex (a little hammer work will fix that) your 285/75/16's are 32.8 in, a little trimming, if your going to do it anyway, and you should be fine.

i ran 33's on a 3.5" lift for years. you gotta cut those fenders man. youll be happy you did.
