So i take off my rocker panel to replace it and i see that about a 1 in a half feet of my pinch seam is rotted. so my solution was to weld a piece of angle iron in place of the bad part. Is this ok to do???? right now i just have it tacked i believe it will work but i just want to make sure its ok b4 i go any farther. could somebody help me asap thanks guys!!!!

It should be fine if the angle iron puts a seam in the right place, and if you have the skill to weld it in. It sounds as if you do. If you don't, you will by the time you're done! Just make sure you maintain some kind of drainage holes or slots at the new pinch seam so it doesn't rot too soon again, and if the angle iron presents any kind of ledge or lip that can catch mud and slush, try at least to seal it up and rustproof it as much as you can. But don't worry too much. It will probably outlast the rest of the vehicle.
