Need Help Deciding On Axles.

Update.

Popped the diff cover and found this in the bottom of the diff next to the pinion.

I spun the yoke and looked at the ring gear for a good 10 minutes and there were no chips or anything on it. Looked perfect.

Did the same thing and looked at the pinion. Looks fine as well. No chips or metal missing.

Yoke spins freely as well.

Should I be worried about this?

you need to pull the carrier.

that looks like a piece of Aussie, and that appears to be the roll pin for the center pin.

It's great advice. Why would you throw away a perfectly good quarter?

Also, you should look at the carrier.

Didn't you ask this on jeepforum a while back? Pull the carrier! that could lead to a destroyed axle!

definitly the pin that keeps the center pin in place. looks to be a part of the ring gear. but might be part of the case need to inspect further

I think i can see the pin that holds the centerpin in place. Here's a video. Everything looks fine to me.

Dude.... pull the carrier out and take the locker apart! It's not hard..

or don't and be back on here in 2 months asking why your front axle self destructed...
