NAXJA Give-A-Way Rig - Group trip to San Jose to deliver bumpers and contribute

Ah, gotcha. Will this thing be sitting at your place or mine? You know i have room in the backyard for it ;)

Don't know where it will be yet.....still need to figure that out. It can sit at my place in the meantime.

looking for a volunteer....I was hoping JohnX still had some free time and trans fluid to burn.

If the club paid for fuel, I could be talked into going to pick it up. It would be a turn around trip for me though, I can't burn an entire weekend up there working on it right now.

As far as what weekend I'm available to do it though, I'd have to look at my calender to see.

I am basically in the same boat, turn around trip is all I have time for...my fuel however would be half what yours is ;)

I could possibly move something around and go up to work on the weekend of the 18th and 19th, and bring the thing back with me. I have access to a hybrid Yukon that could help save some gas and fit more people for the trip. Splitting the fuel cost would make it a pretty cheap trip.

I would just have to borrow a trailer a I don't have one.

Hybrid yukon can't touch my mileage, but the splitting fuel would be an advantage if people want to chip in.

Okay, did the math....its 750 miles for me from my house to san jose, to crackers, and back home. Thats $120 in actual fuel costs for me.

John or Cal, if one of you guys goes for a quick turnaround trip, I can ride shotgun and throw in money for fuel. I'm always up for a road trip. The only weekend I wouldn't be able to go is May 18-19.

Thats cheap! You go, I'll chip in for fuel.

Dependent on a zillion things, I might likely be up for riding up with someone & helping out. Don't have a "To San Jose & back" qualified vehicle right now...

Not to be a jerk ( okay, too late i know ) but are you sure you dont have other club duties to attend to first.... you are always helping others out and doing things for the club to the point you fell behind on your elected duty ( which we thank you for your volunteering to do as well ) just trying to help....
