NAXJA and Jeepspeed

You seem to be fine in a 115 mph pro truck Rich, what's another 15 mph.

Need any pit help? I'm no Andy or Scott, but can provide moral support.

All new rules, Sounds like more fuel, uni-ball a-arms, motor size going to 430 plus c.i, 6500 rpm, 11to1. Just don't know about a 130mph Pro-truck!

SWEET!!!! You love it and you know it.

You already latched on to that truck at this years Parker 425. You said you guys were pinned and on his ass.

Get the name out to those that are not already involved. I think this would be the best way to reach new possible members. Unless jeepspeed gets mass exposure i dont think large sums of money are spent well there. Yes you could be a sponsor but with in reason. Im sure all the racers off jeepspeed and the people going out there know of naxja or know someone who does. You would be better off reaching those with know connection. Maybe it might be better to think off ways to draw in new people or those who are looking to get in to this aspect. Like big desert get togethers, booths at off road shows, maybe cosponsoring or sponsoring clean ups, Magazine ads like jp or other off road magazines, and maybe sponsor xjs that would run the baja 1000/ 500. Your are better off in my opinion to spend your money in ways that will get this site max exposure to the masses. Just my current input.

We knew from the beginning that this would be trial and error, we have to figure out what will work to get NAXJA better exposure among desert racers. I think the idea of focusing on one main race is worth considering. I don't think a meet and greet at every race would do much, it's too diluted, and the folks working on a team are busy. But, if we focused on one race, provided extra prize money for that one race, had a meet and greet and promoted NAXJA members coming out to that one race, had a booth and banners........and did it every year, maybe that could give us the best exposure both of NAXJA to the racers and our own members to desert racing.

We are not going to get members in any quantity in off-road racing. Racers are into racing, not NAXJA for the most part, and JEEPSPEED does not have enough exposure to do much good, yes its fun, racing is fun, but at the end of the day it is not going to bring many members. I would agree with Sjstar, having a booth at the off-road shows, expos etc..will bring in members.

I think Rich and Sjstar are right, I think max exposure is going to happen in a mag write up, expo type exposure, or something of the like. I do however like the Idea of trying to get as many NAXJA people to one race, myself I would also dedicate for sure to work a booth at a race, but providing bbq, and what not I think is spending money that simply NAXJA cannot afford to spend.

Jeepspeed guys know naxja and those who have xjs pritty much know naxja but i do feel there is some room to steel xj members from the other dozen xj forums. Put ads into the back of magazines do things to set yourself apart from the other numerous xj forums. MARKET TO THE MASSES

I think Possibly a booth and meet n greet at the first race of the next jeepspeed series would work have a mailing list along with new member signups. Everyone from the forum not racing or prerunning could have their rig on dispay with. And maybe have board with the runs and maybe someone could put togeather a naxja video of all the runs and stuff just to use for display purpose. I dunno thats just some ideas I have I think it'd be great for naxja to be a part of jeepspeed. And could possibly bring more vendors and hopefully
members to our community.

Its not all about the numbers and exposure. Since we are the biggest XJ/MJ site on the net we should feel an obligation to support those who take Cherokees to the next level, be it competition or build or design.

We will find a way to support those who support our hobby.

Thanks for all the input. Your ideas will be presented to the BOD in the January meeting. Lets see what we can come up with.
