Anybody ever deal with a national IT support firm? What I'm looking for are boots on the ground mid-level IT folks to help me execute a rollout in eight different cities right at the same time. My goal here is a national firm so that I can deal with one POC who then delegates out to the local folks, it would be a bit annoying to have to find and deal with seven different consultants. I'd also like somebody local (Los Angeles) to be able to come in and do some of the day-to-day stuff as part of the deal.

It's not a very technical job, I'd be doing most of the heavy lifting (VPN setup, etc) and the support company would be doing the physical rollout and cutting some machines over to a new network, they may be setting up an Active Directory server at some fo the locations depending on how much money I can pry out of my company's wallet (I'd rather get new servers and config them here in Los Angeles).

Let me know what you know...

When I was younger I used to work as an independant contractor.
I did lots of work as a partner with large firms such as Getronics and TekSystems.
Either one could probably help you out.
Did a lot of nation wide projects under Getronics, banks, Railways, etc.

kforce does this, I did some contract work for them couple of years ago before famous smoke shop, mostly refreshes for several insurance companies. They have some good talent, I still talk to a few of the guys and girls I worked with.

Yeah she mentioned you. It was a bit embarassing because I couldn't remember your last name ;)
