My New Rig

I upgraded just a little, went from a 1999 Chevrolet K1500 with a 5.0L gas, to the newer 2001 Dodge 2500 5.9L Cummin's. I love the thing I got an outstanding deal on the trade-in and a good price cut on the new rig. $7,700 was what the book said on my Cheby and they gave me $9,400 so I couldn't complain there. Then they topped off the deal with the book of $20,500 for the Dodge and gave it to me for $17,900. It's almost as beautiful as my XJ in my opinion. Now I have a tow rig and I'm buying a trailer tomorrow so I can make the Moab trip in October. Having a good weekend. Here's two pics.

The more important of the two pictures:

A cummins 6 cyliner wieghs in at about 1100lbs dry. Would make for a shitty swap IMO.

Nice Truck!

I forgot to add something. Either get a fuel pressure guage or go have the transfer pump tested. Its cruicial for injection pump survival. I made that $2000 mistake. Thats really the only downfall to the 24 valve cummins.

i think i mah have broke my elbow an hour ago so dont dwell on my typing, anybody else got pictures of their tow rigs and their trailer so i can get an idea on what i need for my rig/trailer?

And no, cuz it's your wife that drives it. And if it were you it is a Liberty so no aswell...just kiddin'.

Tyler-

I guess I forgot to use the traditional "LOL" in my original post, cause I was just kidding too.

So...since my posts are dissappearing for some reason...Can some other people post up some pictures of how they have their trailers set-up for towing their rigs so I can start getting the materials. I haven't decided on getting a 16' or 18' yet so input on that would be cool too. Thanks in advance.

i don't know, I'd take a woman driving a liberty It's a Jeep and more importanly a female of the human variety. Plus chicks that drive jeeps are generally pretty hot from what ive seen

Mine is just a standard 16' trailer with a full-size truck tool box bolted to the floor in the front for straps, chains, booms, etc. My tow rig is also an '01 CTD so I gotta say way to go on that, and BlueCuda is right about that lift/transfer pump-keep an eye on it. Here are a couple of louzy pics, but they are all I have of it on the trailer.

First is one of the day I brought it home, you can just see the box in front of it. There is plenty of space where you can still open the box with the Jeep loaded.

Second is a fuzzy pic my buddy took, but you can see the whole rig here....kinda!

Not much, but it has worked for many miles so far.
