My new rig

Take a look at my XJ for sale. There is a reason. I was given a perfect runny FJ40! It has a little body rust so I am doing hte body work. I am restoring it back to origional condition except for 33s and a 2.5 lift. Fire engine red with a white top. My wife wouldn't let me do it unless I gave her the money I get for the XJ. I always wanted one and with only 44,000 miles on the entire rig and 1973 which means no smog, I couldn't resist.

Hate to see you go Dan. That is a nice FJ40 though. Plus it has a hard top. Does it have the rear ambulance doors and folding troop bench seats on each side of the wheelwell? Keep us posted on the restoration and buildup. You cannot go wrong with this thing and it's great there is no smog to worry about. What motor/tranny does it have? A Chevy 350/700R4 would be nice, or even just a turbo 350 with the 350 motor. You will not lose $ on this thing if you play it like you plan, it's a good investment, Toyotas are King here in Cali. It's a better investment then letting your $ sit in a bank and much more fun. :laugh3:

Hey Troy,
It has the straight six. I will consider an engine swap way down the road. With 44,000 miles on the engine, it has a LOOOOOOOG way to go. It has the 3 rear doors. THe lower two that split in the middle and the top hatch gate with the windows. It does have the side wheel well seats, but they are comming out. I am going to put a single master craft racing seat on the pass. side for my son or wife. I don't know much more about it. I really need to start doing my research. Right now it is just doing the body work and getting all the electrical back in order. But it cruises at 75 MPH no problem with the 3 speed (kinda lound though ;). I know you wnat to by my XJ!

Farmer Matt, I gotta live my dream :). I'll still hount the board though.

I've always liked them when they are outfitted for safari. The 110 inch wheelbase ones are even cooler.

Not sure I'd DD one, but I would love to hunt out of one.
