My first Jeep/my newest money pit!

Here are some images of my driveline angles at the moment.

You need to give Andy @ Ironman4x4fab a call and get his adjustable arms and loose those stock upers.

I've thought about those....but for the money I think I'd rather hold off and consider a long arm kit. I remember looking at his LA kit a few months back and recall it being a nice setup for the price....hmm...although gears are coming first, it's a dog at the moment!

same plan as me. I've got drop brackets for now. 3.07 gears and 5 speed on 33"s makes my jeep a 4 speed ;-)

Yea, my highway gear is pointless! I've been leaving it in ''3'' to keep the RPMs around 2k as I've read/heard that's where the 4.0L likes to run at. I'll see if that helps at all, but 4.56's are next on the list! :D How does the XJ ride with the drop brackets? Any cons you care to name? Thanks!

Seems to ride fine, just loose some clearance up front. I don't have quite the flex as my buddy with long arms(his ride is the same height as mine) but it is a cheap alternative for a lifted jeep waiting on $$$$$ for long arms.

I don't do any xtreme crawling, but it does fine and holds its own when I go out with the built jeeps.....................as long as it isn't wet ;-)

I remember those days. Even 3.55s makes a big difference. I'm very interested to see just how low 4.56 is, I already inch downhill in 4-lo and can let it idle forward on flat ground in 2nd and 4-lo (So Tim and I found out this weekend).

Yeah, I can't wait to actually use 5th gear on the expressway. My buddy has 4.11s with AW4 and 33s. He pulls his boat fine. I am hoping that every aspect of acceleration, 2wd or 4wd, will be more lively. I also hope my crawling gear makes things easier.

I ordered some JCR rack mounts this morning, waiting on a reply from a guy on jeepforum for a Dana30 carrier and 4.56s. Hopefully I can pick that up, then just get rear gears and setup kits!

My JCR gutter mounts were just dropped off! Looking forward to the productivity that's coming, I've got so many things to fix/change I just haven't done it yet! :)

Do you even get a paycheck or do you just swap labor for parts?

Nice score. Winches come in handy. Get Stump to tell you the Harlan story sometime.

I wish I had synthetic line on mine.

Hahaha! Yea, I try not to spend ALL my money at work....it was easier to get the cable winch (cheaper too) and my buddy gave me the synthetic rope! I think I might actually pick up an H4 headlight conversion as well....the stock lights are useless.

I went ahead and did the H4 conversion....I'd tossed the idea around for months and finally broke down for it with the time change coming up and it being dark when I get off of work.
