Well looks like I'll be looking for a zj front shaft. Limited or 4.0 work? Im going to do a bit of digging tonight on the matter.

Many ZJs have different length front shafts. Measure from axle to SYE and go to the junk yard. Should be fairly simple from there. You will be wheeling in no time. GL

Why are you looking for a ZJ driveshaft? Do you have a 5-speed?

When I installed my SYE, I used a stock front driveshaft from a AW4 XJ. That is a lot more common than using the ZJ shaft.

Forget the ZJ. Just get a cherokee front drive shaft. They are all over the junk yards.

Well it depends on the junk yard. We have more ZJs than XJs here in huntsville. Mine is a 5 speed as well, and I needed the longest ZJ driveshaft that they had.

Pulled the transfer case this weekend. Now for the SYE install, but currently I'm looking for a front driveshaft to use as a rear one. I'm going to change out my motor mounts and trans mount while I'm at it, one motor mount was GONE and the trans mount wasn't much better!

Got the SYE installed. Hope to have the case back in Saturday.....luck would have it my wagon went down this week, too. So I'm technically without a drivable car right now....

Got a front driveshaft today, now I have both driveshafts ready, the SYE installed, and I even went ahead and picked up a new transmission mount. Hopefully tomorrow is productive!
