Are there plans to mount a winch to it in the future? At first I thought that was what you are going for, but the finished bumper looks a little too shallow for a winch to be mounted up. It looks good though, and the price was certainly right. It'll look just as good (or better) than alot of aftermarket bumpers I have seen sold. I have a buddy who is shopping for a winch bumper, and I am sure if you made a winch variant at a reasonable price you could easily sell one to him pretty much immediately.

No I was not going for a winch. Too much weight in the front and I don't have the money to go higher right now.

If anything I will weld a 2 inch reciver on there and get a winch w/ reciver plate.

A couple of my neighbors have asked why I didn't do those for a living while I have been building this one... I wish I could!
Don't have the money and I love what I do now.

I can tell both of you that this bumper will over ride ANY stock XJ (or anyother stock bumpers) out there.

oh im sure, most aftermarket bumpers will.....but the question still stands as to weather its necessity to be DOT approved or not
