my 91 xj

Bitter sweet. First car wreck. Lady was on her cell phone decided to dead stop at a light that turned yellow andbi had no where to go tried to avoid it and just clipped her with my headlight.

Bumper did take the most damage but the very front of the rail is dent. Core support is still straight i was able to get it the 5 blocks home still drove fine and tracked straight..

I used my moms truck to pull on my bumper a bit to get it out some.


Good news is. I just got my taxes back. Ive been looking for a second cherokee to purchase now i have a couple reasons too.. my green heep has been needing some work for a while!
 
well, she is back together and running again. sans front bumper. the pass side uni rail is bent up and torn a bit. (im going to use a come along to pull it back straight and plate it then put my bumper mount back on spot weld that in as well.. other then that everything else seems fine. replaced the rad (again) and headlight side marker and running light as well as the bezel. just need to replace the header panel now as it cracked in a couple places.. but shes back on the road.

Maybe some air in the system somehow..

I'll second the manifold. Mine now has a massssive crack and it runs really hot even flat freeway with aux fan on its at 210 and creeps a bit when driving the the mountains.

Just a couple checklist items.
you have a fan shroud?
Aux fan functions?

yes i have the fan shroud. brand new actually 2 weeks old :(

aux fan works if i turn the ac on. other then that no its off no mater the temp of engine.

ill pull the header this weekend and weld it up at work. we have a big sand box i can throw it in after pre heating.

although this looks pretty tempting.

You need to wire that fan up to a switch it should kick on once the jeep his 210 217.
 
put the fan on a switch to the dash. use a relay. then you can run it when you want.
