my 91 xj

I think ive narrowed it down to that oil pressure switch.

But the whole underside of my car is covered in oil and it leaves bit puddles when ever i stop and park for more then a few minuets.

Valve cover gasket and dizzy gasket .

Valve cover and gasket are dry. If that was the case ide have oil near them too right?

And dose dizzy stand fod distributer? Its also dry? And brand new. Just a few months old.

I guess this could be a compund issue. Ill replace the valve cover gasket as well as the oil pressure switch.

Ugh i knew i should have just bought a good gasket instead of the head kit.

alright, i have a questions.

my tags are up in november, and i have to get the jeep smogged again.
funny, because just last year i had it smogged when transferred into my name, and now have to smog it again.

anyways, my header has a few cracks, and a couple bugger welds from where the PO, tried to fix it. also the front pipe has a few cracks, as well as the cat is starting to rattle.

so i just want to replace all that before smog, now here is where my question lies.
you can get a stainless header on ebay for about 115 shipped, should i go this route, or pick up a stock header?

also, i found out where all that blow by was coming from. i had elbows on the valve cover switched after the head was replaced. ha. no more oil leak.

good job on the oil leak.
as for the exhaust, I would go with just about any new header, and you can get the entire down pipe for around 45$ pre bent at most auto parts stores. check for intake leaks. I was able to find a walker large weld on cat for 120$ shipped on amazon, same one is 166$ at Summit and over 200$ at auto zone. Do it all now and it will smog with flying colors. Also consider replacing the o2 sensor, the plugs, cap, rotor, a bunch of injector cleaner, new air filter and change the oil.

cap/rotor and injectors are all new since the head swap just a few months ago.

i saw the magnaflow cat was 145ish, and front pipe was around 45 bucks on amazon also. i figured a nice header wouldnt hurt, i was just wondering if i was going to have to take it to school and weld a nut on for an 02 sensor or not.

ill also change the oil and i have to flush my coolent system again

i got some more parts in to fix little things that have been wrong with it since i bought it.

new hatch struts, no more having to carry around a stick to prop it open.

i also replaced all the broken plastic peices that keep the rear hatch panel on, they were all broken and my speakers were the only thing holding to the hatch so it rattled really bad..

i also picked up a 50"led light bar..
(still trying to figure out how to wire the positive lead to something that turns on with the ignition, instead of straight from the battery)

i also started making mounts for it at school. since hooligan wants 100-150$ for its drip rail mount. i figured i could make something much cheaper. cut these out with the torch, need to clean them up with my grinder and still drill holes, as well as weld some nuts to them.
(i made them tall, so i can cut them down later i didnt know exact measurements)

I love how your build is coming along. You put a lot of thought in what you do.

As you can see its ran through the door already in tge ladt picture i just posted. I was going drill through the roof and run it under my headliner. But decided againts drilling into my roof.

I also have a fram crack that is making a cracking sound i found it, just behind my lca mount. So the sooner i long arm and 4.5" tge better me thinks. So i can hack those lca mounts out and plate the rest of the frame.

Nice! That's the one I've been eyeing. Some reviews say they have had condensation issues so I wasn't sure.

My 32" is cree leds and curved. And is plenty bright for the trails as is. I just like the look of 50" on the roof
