Mustang Wheels

Find out if they are 5x4.5 bolt pattern. If they aren't then they won't fit. If they are then they should fit.

i think you are going to run into problems with the center holes not fitting over the center of the axle in the back and the hubs in the front. IIRC those thrust style rims have a pretty small hole in the middle.

I was under the impression that these were "Bullitt" style rims. Am I wrong? I remember on JF somebody posting about having bullitt's on their cherokee, but I can't find the thread..

I'm not sure, but those look like 2005+ versions. If that's the case than you might run into complications. IIRC 2005+ mustangs had a ~45mm offset. The older stangs had a ~24mm offset. I ran pre2005 18x9 cobra replicas on my Jeep. They had a 24offset on 255/55/18 tires, and I can tell you I didn't have any rubbing issue. However a 17x8 rim with a 45mm offset will retract 8mm on the inside compared to my old rims.

My best advice is for you stick with pre2005 rims. If they're for sale locally than visit the guy and ask of you can test fit them. I let people test fit my rims on their cars when I had them up for sale.

Thanks Urban, I was pretty sure you had them back in your JF days...before the whole blu fiasco :confused1

Edit: You wouldn't happen to have any pics of it with the Cobra replicas would you?

hehe. she doesn't look like that anymore. I do miss the rims, but I sure as hell don't miss those tires. Pirelli scorpion zeros must be the worst tire on this planet.

BTW Pepper. Have you considered Magnum/Charger/300c take-offs? They're cheap, they have the correct offset, and center bore. They might now be as sexy as the mustang rims, but at least they fit properly. Here's a pic of my Jeep now (on 2008 charger RT 18s - powdercoated hammertone)

Sorry, I missed where you gave the size before. I'm looking at a 17" x 9" on e-bay that has my attention.

Lotsa work to do before I can switch the wheels

I have considered Magnum RT takeoffs, in fact that, your thread was my inspiration to take off my beaten up steelies for some new summer shoes.

Everyone around here seems to believe that Charger rims are milled from solid gold, or at least that's what the prices say.. :dunno: Set of 4 with no tires are pushing $900...for stock wheels...

Most newer stock wheels are spendy. Depends on the area also. You tried ebay?
