Was thinking about doing this and just want to know if its worth it. I've got a '95 4.0 AW4 all stock. Looking for jy upgrades that will increase mileage or performance.

alone... i can attest that you wont see crap out of a throttle body alone. though mine isnt extreme as the 5.0 swap, isnt that like 70mm? i could be mistaken, probably am. the only way to see significant improvement is to add a more free flowing head, more free flowing exhaust, intake, and play with WOT air/fuel mixtures all together... all that for a 4.0? not worth it. put that $1k else where.

if you want gas milage from a lifted jeep... gears. or get a honda.

I bored my stock throttle body out to 64.4 mm. The only difference I noticed was snappier throttle response. I also had to match the intake manifold to the opening of the throttle body. This mod would have been much more noticable if I had other mods like a late model intake and some head work. All in all it doesn't hurt but doesn't help enough to justify spending money on it. I did mine because it didn't cost me anything.
