MTV

Yah - back before KSJO 92.3 sold out (local radio station,) they used to have a sister station - 1500AM, KSJX.

What was good about it? It was:
- An AM classic rock station.
- Ran all metal on Sunday - "Metal Shop Sunday."
- The car I had 'way back when had an AM-only radio in it, and I turned it to 1500 and put the knob in the glove box (I didn't want anyone changing it!)

I miss that sort of thing. Most radio stations talk too much, the commercials are asinine, and the programming is getting worse. No wonder I usually hook up my mp3 player if I'm going to drive more than fifteen minutes...

I love my sirius satellite radio. I originally got it for Stern but now I love it. Any type of music commercial free all the time. I have mine set to alert me when certain bands are on a station and I can tune right to them. I have some 30 preset stations to handle all my music tastes or moods. Never lost a signal(unless the ultra rare occasion I am in a tunnel or stuck under something). It is nice to get in and drive for a few hours all while tuned to the same station and never loose signal or hear the same song played twice.

I was driving in the ole ladies car and she has just FM radio. It is completely worthless, same songs and more commercials than anything else.
