Mt/r Kevlar or BFG krawler

Ya what's rim size and load range on your dads rig? I'll give bfg being better in snow than kevlars.

Don't take this as dick. This is purely a tire statement. Pick a trail. Chinamens for say. You are built similar to me. But you wouldnt hang on lines I'm taking.
Plus. I haven't wheeled below 8psi lately.

Ask jd how his km2 did compared to my kelvars on penrose.

These would be 42 flavor And red label if Krawlers since Jeep is getting a trailer and only driven once in awhile on street for attention whore factor...lol ...I'm probably going to keep the boggers for the season since they are about 90% tread ,and attempting to sell them for $1200-1400 with rims will have every low-baller on CL calling to ask if I'll drive to Denver to let them view the tire ,and then try to low ball me 1/2 price when I get there figuring I've already driven 1hr to Denver ,So probably invest my coin for now into getting the Atlas 4spd ,which is a tough choice between the 2 gearing selections ...F-N choices...lol

Doesn't the irok come in a 42" sticky too? That might be worth looking into.

Yes it does, and its definitely an option I would persue. I was really happy with my 36" Iroks and from talking to guys who've ran different sizes it seems that the 39.5 is the only crappy version. With those I would also have to go to a 17" rim. So no matter what it looks like I'll eventually be switching to a 17. It kind of sucks though because I'm really liking the idea of some recentered HMMWV beadlocks, but its looking like the tires I would want to run aren't offered in a 16.5.

The Irok 42" sticky looks to run about 560$ a tire so for the same price as the basic Krawler you get a competion specific sticky.

Pricing I found on a quick search for the Krawler Red Labels is 780$ each for the 40 R17 and 860$ each for the 42 R20. Ouch on that pricing, I don't even want to know how much a comp version of the MT/R would run me.

For the HMMWV beadlocks I was looking at running the 42" Irok Bias tire. They're about 460$ each.

Was on Interco's website ,and see rim sizes in 15 for the iork sticky...that sold me b/c i have 15' now and can easily grab 15 bead locks cheap ...Looks like Iroks next season or sooner if i can unload the boggers at a fair price .

Enough of the BS already, do your own research and buy something for christ sake....... Asking people on here what their favorite tire is, oil is or anything like that is like asking an alcholic what his favorite booze is.......... all tires have their own strong points and flaws, pick your poison and enjoy the rocks!

So should I call you Master Wheeler or what???? Tires are not everything, driver skill and vehicle setup have a big part too! Just because you can take a line with a tire that someone else cannot with a different tire means nothing! I am pretty sure that myself and some others here could take lines with drag slicks that you could not with your almighty Kevlars!
Picking a tire is like picking a woman, you pick what you like best........ :lecture:

Still butthurt about your 44a?

Fine. Swap my tires with yours. Same driver same rig different tires. Betchya they are better.

Your guys are some funny fawks. I was talkin to led the other night and he's still screaming creepy's so idk. I went from baja claws to pro comp xterains to kevlars . The kevs and claws were comparable and the xt's sucked like a donkey show

Looks like I'll be sticking with iroks for now. I finally found a place that has a good price on DIY beadlocks for my rims. I definitely cant afford the 42" Red Label Krawlers and the only tire I've seen so far I'd be willing to try that's available for a 20" rim are the Baja claws. So my next tire is most likely to be a 42" Irok.
