so after two years (longest I've lived in one place since 98) got sick of my downstairs neighbor and decided to move, randomly found a dude that owns half the town and a dozen or so houses around the world but he told me to show up with a chainsaw to take the trees out of my friends way

no idea what he meant till I saw the land

about 30-40 ft wide, probably 2/10 of a mile long but at one point goes down steep, and to get up you go through just as nice electric line trails, which he already has an agreement to access

pic doesn't do it justice, it's freakin awesome

i'll snap better pictures not during a downpour in a day or two

best part is the house has a 3 car garage I can fix all the breaks less than 50 yards away from most of the trail

You lucky SOB

heading over there now, better pics in a few hours

holy shit.

Want to buy my house? I'll trade...

it even comes with a free 4.0L motor on the back porch, just for you!

you are more than welcome to deliver said free motor and have a look for yourself

Still the same area? Depending on if I manage to get the dirty POS road legal in the near future or not I might be able to swing by with it on my way to NYC soonish.

only moved a mile or two from where I was, closer to 84

won't officially be living there until nov 1

wwwooooowww  thats ur backyard??... congrats!

whats the deal with the house, u renting or buying?? the girlfriend & i are also tired of our neighbors at our apartment, & i need my own garage

renting, there is a huge downstairs "studio" that might be open, cheap as hell and you can walk to the RR station.....no idea what part of the state you live in though

those are the side yards, the immediate back yard is a pretty steep hill, havent ventured there yet, too busy droping stuff off

im in meriden, but next move is gonna be a mortgage, or if a sweet deal comes up to rent a house

what town's this place in? are u planning/allowed to make some trails?... if so, count me in to help out :farmer:

Yeah the house is on peaceable, behind the branchville station, and the guy might leave me his 05 gmc to plow with so if I break something important I won't be screwed

the guy told me to cut the trees down I want but I'm going to wait make sure he was serious, he's an old school coot farmer/ex marine/millionaire but he brought it up first, you can do most of it without cutting any trees down really, at least the part that parrallels the driveway, I wasn't wearing shoes so didn't want to go way down
