I need to replace the motor and tranny mounts on my 89 XJ, what are the best ones to use...

Depends on what you want, stock type rubber or polyurethane. Ive had good luck with ones from NAPA. At first i used some crappy ones from auto zone and the lasted about six months or less. I have avoided poly type only because the will transmit noise and vibrations a lot more then rubber.

I got Energy Suspension poly ones that go inside your old shells. More time consuming to install than new ones or ones like M.O.R.E., Brown Dog, Rusty's, etc. My jeep shakes slightly but nothing bad at idle. Going down the road you don't even notice it.

Define "best".

What modifications, if any ? How and where do you use the Jeep ? Do you want stock like replacements, or something more heavy duty ?

whenever I think of motor mounts, I think of Brown Dog now....I would pony up the money and never look back...Mine should be here this week..

Both of my jeeps have Brown Dogs.They are the only way to fly.Just don't over tighten them.You'll know if you do from the vibs.

+1 on the Brown dog mounts. Ironman4x4fab and jeeperjohn both make mounts as well.
