Tape would be for Track Days, in the event of a kicked up stone you wont have broken glass on the track. Thats what I've always seen it for.

Correct, the tape is for track days. All plastic and glass lenses must be taped (headlight, tail light, turn signals, mirrors, etc. Those shots were at track day at NJ Motorsports Park in NJ last Monday :-D

haha thanks. It had 14k on the clock when I bought it, talked the guy down $500 and paid $4000 for it. I had been looking for months and when I went to check this one out I knew it was the one
