Try an 89 to 90 ECU. If it's the same performance, sell it.

I've also got the mopar ecu in mine. I actually just pulled it out when I swapped from the puegot to an aw4.
I used an 89 harness, tcu, and ecu. Honestly I feel more power since the swap. Not sure if that's ECU related or if its the trans finally working the way a trans should.
Maybe I can swap the mopar ecu back in to see if there is a difference.

It's both.
The ECU is better than your 87, as is the tCU. I've done them one at a time over the years and seen an improvement with each.

Ok, so Ive got an 88, Does that mean the TCU from an 89 or 90 will be an upgrade for me or is it only for the 87? Im planning on hitting the yard tomorrow for an ECU and maybe tcu if it makes a difference.
