Ran through to the comittee crossing again on Friday with CRASH and Seanman. SeanP rode shotgun with CRASH and the Kelpies.
The water was up quite a bit compared to last week.

Fixed it for you.

I didn't want to drag my rig up there with Marni's ZJ.

Ferd is still on the trail. It is now righted and will pretty much turn over. It's a total waste. An inventory was taken on what would be needed to get it off the trail. It will be no small undertaking. It was posted on PBB that J&M Offroad from Auburn (dont know them) was contracted by the insurance company to remove the vehicle. Hope they have a mog or something on rockwells.

Hey, Sean, you still coming to Moab next month?

Excellent day on the trail. Winch Hill 1 is in the worst, which is to say the best, condition it's ever been. One good flood year and that sucker is gonna rival Little Sluice.

He sold his rig. ;)

:P

My mother put the guilt trip on me to visit her (with emma) in VA in October and it doesn't look like I can do both. Wish mom liked to wheel.

agreed on WH1. It sure challenged Crash's rig, but then he never could drive to save his life.

YOU, of all people, critiquing driving ability, really tickles my irony bone.

I tried going to the left and got all jacked up.

That one pic of me going to the left did not work out well for Jes or I.

Not well at all.

OK, glad I wasn't the only one.

BTW, are you guys checking your e-mail?

RE: Yep getting emails. Have family obligation in OH weekend b4 T-giving and still checking on next spring. Really, really need a tow rig for the family. A little birdy tells me that Jenny wants to part with her bombed 7.3 excursion this winter. Not sure if I can convince Marni to buy that as a DD.

Is Winch Hill 1 between the second and third water crossings, and the kind of obstacle where if it was dark, and you weren't paying a lot of attention, you could get very jacked up? Hung up on T-case skids and axles and all that stuff?

yes :D

there's a bypass about 100ft. downhill towards the river, but probably not too easy to find at 3am being your first time on the trail

(send me some pics of your new steering)

No, winch hill 1 is between the first and second crossing.
And yes, you could get very jacked up there. ;)
