MOPAR FLOORPANS ON AMAZON

You could make your own out of 16ga. and it will be real strong, just thats its a PITA to work with that ga. I have to make my rear one but I
m using 18ga., got a good price on a 4'x8' sheet form Isaacsons Steel in Berlin,NH....$63.36.

I ordered one from amazon and it arrived today, I will post up tonight on the quality etc. It was fast shipping wise and the price is hard to beat.

Mine arrived too. Sure looks like it'ss be a cookie cutter operation to replace the sections I need replaced. Cut and paste.

Unboxed... SWEEEEET. Makes me wanna pull the whole thing and put in ths new one. BUT... the entire driver side is in great shape and no need to do all those welds. I'll take pics of this thing as soon as I can and get em posted so you guys can see em. Cut out the sections I need and plug and play. Spot weld in the original spots and seal the seams and then rhino the whole interior and POR 15 chassis coat the bottom and me be done.

I'd POR-15, I'm using Zero Rust, the entire floor pan. I have also Zero Rusted my entire chasis, inside and out and will "bedline" after pan(s) are in.
Trucking company called today and they will be here Mon. in the AM with my pan, funny thing is, Amazon has not charged my card yet....hmmm.

I unboxed mine also, I am very happy. I am very temped to replace the whole floor but I want to access how bad the drivers side is before start cutting. I am going to hurc mine both sides and seam seal the edges. Is anyone going to put some drain plugs in or are you welding up where the factory drain holes are? I recomend this for anyone with bad floor rot.

There is a place that has the OEM plugs for $1.50 per. There are 4. http://www.teamcherokee.com LOTS of hard to find stuff!!! PART link http://www.teamgrandwagoneer.com/parts/Detailed/1029.html

Anyone ever use the Eastwood Company Spot Weld Gun or their Stitch Weld Gun?? Their Rust Preventative seems better than POR and less expensive. The $59 Spot Welder has me wondering. It uses your arc welder turned down to less than 80amps. Has limiting diodes so you don't fry the metal and is made for reproducing the spot weld from the factory. Looks like this tool is MADE FOR doing floor pans on our beloved!! http://www.eastwoodco.com/shopping/product/detailmain.jsp?itemID=1172&itemType=PRODUCT&iMainCat=608&iSubCat=613&iProductID=1172

Anyone???

I know Mark... Hey, 2 hours here can get a thread buried 6 pages into the "new threads." :o

Who??

You DONT want to spot weld your new pan.....2 reasons...: 1, you'll NEVER
obtain a spot welder to do the job correctly, 2: theres no reason why you
cant use existing equipment to perform the task, even 110 equipment.

Fit your pans so they lye in correctly, from the underside side scribe a line
against your unibodies exterior seam.........measure 'in' and down that seam
the length of the repair 3/16" of an in....drill a 1/4" hole every 2.5-3", plug
weld each hole from the center out.

If you have questions about any other areas as far as correct welding goes,
ask....Im sure someone will reply with tips!
