expensive? cheapo? lots of offroading? the usual questions

UNCC should chime in at some point of Nick maybe. IIRC that is a very nice area. For some reason I'm thinking that is where all the NASCAR people live.

i applied for a job out that way. Any one live there or near there? is it purdy? Sure.
expensive? Very. cheapo? lots of offroading? None unless you go to URE. the usual questions

hmm.. If i get the job with Lowes corporate then I may take it. Its only 2 hours from my house in Cola.. vs the 6.5 hours from AL.
we will see.. i'll be looking for a roommate again. lol

Lived in mooresviile-Its more expensive as of recent. Traffic is horrendous. Constant construction. Nice area. Plenty to do. Depending on area, its pretty safe. Where you would be located at the lowes corpo is a good area. If your going for comfortable apartment living or townhome that is in-expensive for that area I would do Talbert Woods, its a central location and safe. I would stay away from I believe its "river park"...whichever one is located behind walmart.

Mooresville is an awesome place to live as long as you can get over the traffic issue.

If you have any questions just PM me, I know that area very well.

EDIT:When I was living there we had plenty to wheel, but now its either been built up, or has been blocked off by the town.

I lived there in 03-04 for NTI. Didn't think it was too expensive, but that was almost a decade ago too. I over the place always wanted to move there for good never Did though.

Josh pretty much nailed it. It's a very nice area, but a very congested area. It's just a few minutes north of Lake Norman too...LOTS of money in that area, so yes, it is expensive.

You can forget about going into Charlotte in the mornings and trying to get out of Charlotte in the evenings. You'll be in gridlock for at least an hour each way. Had to go up there yesterday to drop some stuff off for a house i'm trying to rent and spent 1.5 hours EACH WAY sitting in traffic. That was a combination or holiday and commuter traffic (I think many people left work at lunch time yesterday, which was the time I was trying to get up there.)

Thanks everyone.. well i find out more once i get an interview.
Bham has some sucky traffic and i lived in Atlanta for 6 years .. i can manage traffic issues.

I looked on CL for roommates, its about the same price as here.
fingers crossed!
it pays more too which is always good!

we ll see what the recruiter says.. he told me on friday he had all the paperwork and he just needed to talk to Lowes..
im crossing my fingers!
